Castle in Mexico City

I used Xperia to shoot a fantastic video at a castle in the center of Mexico City that was built during the Spanish colonial period.

The European-style architecture, gorgeous stained glass windows, and murals, all lit by light streaming in through the windows, were all captured by Xperia 1 V. The delicate colors and sense of depth could be recorded with a smartphone.

メキシコシティ中心部にある、スペインの統治時代に築かれたお城でXperiaを使って、幻想的な動画の撮影をしてきました。

ヨーロッパ仕様の、建築や豪華なステンドグラスに壁画まであり、窓から差し込むの光の当たり方全てXperia 1 Vで撮影をすることで繊細な色合い、奥行き感をスマートフォンで記録することができました。

浅草の雪❄️ Snow in Asakusa

I really don’t like the cold, so I thought I wouldn’t shoot snow except for hot springs and climbing (and taking a hot spring bath after climbing), but I took a little video.

I could see Sensoji temple so white that I couldn’t see in front of it with quite heavy snow 🌨️.

ホントは寒がりなので、温泉と登山(登山の後は温泉入る)以外は雪撮影しないと思ってたけど少し動画を撮ってみました。

かなりの大雪🌨️で前が見えなくなるほど真っ白な浅草寺が見れました。

混浴温泉の極みとして、福島県にある温泉宿、

この温泉宿は、乳白色の熱めの温泉を楽しめます。
様々なタイプの温泉と、バスタオルも借りれるのでオススメ、混浴のスペースには蒸し風呂もあってとても気持ちがいいです。

東京から福島駅まではたった新幹線で１時間半。
そこから、今回はレンタカーを借りて　40分ほどのドライブ (バスで40分）食事和牛のステーキやフォアグラが出てきたりかなりゴージャスな週末を過ごすことができました。

Setsubun on Mt. Higashi-Azuma. セブンイレブンの恵方巻きを東吾妻山で👹

We decided to face a new kind of oni (demon) this setsubun- by climbing up a mountain in the snow!

We went and picked up provisions, including the very important ehomaki, at 7/11. Then we took the gondola at Grandeco Snow Resort, and from there we hiked up the side of the mountain. It was tough, and the weather wasn’t great, but it was cool to see all the snow-covered trees!

The snowy mountain made was perfect for our Setsubun ehomaki ritual. Facing the north east, we ate our rolls in silence to bring good luck into 2024!

This is by far the most interesting Setsubun I’ve celebrated so far.

節分にアメリカ人の友達のケイティと登山をしに行ったので、記念にセブンイレブンで恵方巻きを買って山で食べてみました。

福島県の東吾妻山は雪山登山にピッタリな場所。寒くて、行くのは少し大変だったけど一緒忘れない、節分を迎えることができました！

The forest of bamboo in Arashiyama is very famous in Kyoto.
Whenever I go to Kyoto, I pack my own kimono in my suitcase for the trip.

I filmed this movie with my Xperia 1 V.
The shooting time was 7 am,and even in a dark place in a bamboo forest, the Sony sensor captured the image sharply and with a good balance of depth between the subject and the background.

Xperia is the perfect companion for walking in the city.

京都といえば、嵐山の竹林が有名ですよね。
毎回、京都にいくときは自前の着物をスーツケースに詰めて旅行に行きます。

Xperia 1 Vで撮影しました。
撮影時間は7時で竹林の中の暗い場所でも、ソニーのセンサーがシャープに被写体と背景の奥行きをバランス良くとらえてくれました。

Xperiaは街歩きのお供にピッタリなアイテムです。

The Nikkosawa Onsen is an inn in Okukinu that can only be reached by a two-hour hike.

I tried to make a reservation to stay at this inn, but it was so popular that there was a waiting list. This old building and the Okukinu trail that attracts climbers

And the inn where an idol Shiba dog welcomes you!

Everything was so nice that we could not get a reservation this time, so we walked from Haccho no Yu to the hot spring for a day trip.25 minutes on foot from Haccho no Yu (you can't walk in normal shoes)Chabo-kun, my idol dog, greeted me 🥰 He is just too cute, I will definitely stay here next year!

奥鬼怒にある、2時間ハイキングしないと辿り着けない宿が日光澤温泉です。

私はこの宿に泊まろうと、予約を試みましたがキャンセル待ちになる程人気の宿です。この古い建物と、登山家を魅了する、奥鬼怒の登山道

そしてアイドル柴犬が出迎えてくれる宿

全てが、素敵すぎて今回予約が取れなくて、八丁の湯から歩いて日帰り温泉に入ってきました♪

アイドル犬のチャボ君が出迎えてくれました🥰もう可愛すぎるので今度絶対に泊まります。

Over the weekend, I hiked to Okukinu: a famous mixed bathing hot spring.This place is popular with hikers, and usually requires a 90-minute hike up a snow-covered mountain to reach it.  For those who cannot hike, take the bus from Kinugawa Onsen station >> 90 minute bus ride >> from the Meotobuchi parking lot >> 40 minute ryokan bus ride.*You cannot come to this hot spring by private car.

I wanted to go hiking in the snowy mountains, so I hiked alone and I wanted to go hiking in the snowy mountains, so I hiked alone and met up with my friends there.Hatcho-no-yu is divided into a log house and a Japanese style building.The dinner and breakfast were excellent, and if there was something I could not eat, I could request it in advance. 週末に奥鬼怒にハイキングをして：混浴でも有名な温泉にって来ました。
この場所は、ハイカーに人気の場所で通常なら90分の雪山ハイキングをしないと辿り着けない場所です。  ハイキングができない人は、  鬼怒川温泉駅＞＞バスで90分の移動>>女夫渕駐車場から＞＞＞40分旅館のバスで移動をします。
*自家用車ではこの温泉に来ることはできません。

私は、雪山ハイキングをしたかったので一人でハイキングをして
現地で友達と合流をしました。  八丁の湯はログハウスと和風の棟に別れていて

夕食と朝ごはんも絶品で、食べれないものがあれば事前にリクエストすることができました。( e.g. 豚ぬき）

Kusatsu Onsen is the most popular hot spring in Japan. What attracts people to this place is the fun of the onsen town.

Usually, if you stay at a ryokan, once you check in, you don't leave the ryokan until you check out and enjoy the onsen ♨️(Japanese people take 3 to 5 times a night in the onsen).

Kusatsu Onsen is not only about the ryokan, but also about walking around the town, watching the Yumomi dance, going out to eat, and other ways to enjoy Kusatsu are easily available.

Another attraction is that you can get to the hot spring resort area quickly by bus or train from Tokyo!

I would definitely like to visit this place again!

Nyutou Onsen Tsurunoyu ♨️乳頭温泉鶴の湯　 
This hot spring has been in Akita Prefecture for over 300 years.

Most people come to the onsen for a day trip, but we were lucky enough to stay overnight at Tsuru-no-yu.

What Tsuru-no-yu is famous for is its milky white mixed bathing bath.

The tepid bath has pleasant white water that makes your skin feel smooth.
In addition, there are private baths and separate baths for men and women, so you can experience a hot spring bath that suits your style.

The meals at the inn are also very delicious, using plenty of local ingredients, so we recommend staying for a night if you have the chance, not just for a day trip.
 秋田県にある300年以上も昔からある温泉です。

殆どの人は日帰りで温泉に来ますが、私たちはラッキーにも鶴の湯に宿泊することができました。

鶴の湯の温泉で有名なのは、この乳白色の混浴風呂です。

ぬるめのお風呂にお肌がスベスベになる白いお湯が気持ちいいお風呂。
この他にも、貸切のお風呂、男女別のお風呂などがあり自分のスタイルに合った温泉を体験することができます。

I have been super fan of this place a bit expensive but its worth to stay such a good view room once a year! My favotite ryokan in Kawaguchiko.
The room has a private bath with amazing Mt.Fuji view. it comes with dinner and breakfast. This ryokan offers very family oriented mood rather than fancy and luxurious experience but definitely, the taste of food and hospitality, and onsen experience are memorable.
If you are going to travel to kawaguchiko, I would highly recommend this place.
河口湖で多分日本で一番好きな旅館うぶやさんをご紹介します。
今年は行けたらいいなと思いながら2020年に撮った写真をシェアします。富士山を見ながら個室露天風呂に入れるのは本当に贅沢で元気も出る場所です。

Solo Onsen Trip ♨️Osawa Onsen Tojiya :ソロ温泉；大沢温泉湯治屋自炊部

On a whim, I went to a hot spring resort over the weekend.
Famous hot spring resorts are already fully booked until spring, and usually there is an extra charge for a one-person reservation at a hot spring resort. However, this inn is easy for one person to stay and the price is quite inexpensive, so I recommend it to those who like to travel alone this time.

Here, Osawa Onsen in Iwate Prefecture is a hot spring inn with a history of over 200 years.

It is also famous that Kenji Miyazawa, a popular Japanese writer, stayed at this inn. (The Author of The Night of the Milky Way Train)

Famous for its mixed baths where you can take a bath with a spectacular view ♨️ and your skin will be smooth 🙌
(At night from 20-21pm, the baths are women-only, so you can bathe in peace.)

You can also order your own meals at the cafeteria. During the summer, there was also an exhibition of Studio Ghibli, so Toshio Suzuki’s autograph was there.
If you want to spend your vacation in a retro building with a cozy kotatsu, try Osawa Onsen.

ふと思い立って、週末に温泉に行ってきました。
有名な温泉宿はもう春まで予約がいっぱいで通常、一人で温泉宿を予約すると追加料金がかかります。ですがこの宿は一人でも滞在しやすく値段もかなり安いので今回ひとり旅が好きな人にオススメです。

ここ、岩手県の大沢温泉は200年以上の歴史を持つ温泉宿です。

日本で人気のある作家、宮沢賢治もこの宿に滞在していたことでも有名です。(The Author of 銀河鉄道の夜 The Night of the Milky Way Train)

有名なのは、絶景を見ながら入れる混浴風呂♨️お肌がスベスベになる🙌
(夜の20-21時は女性専用のお風呂になるので安心して入浴が可能です。）

食事も自分の好きなものを食堂で注文することが可能です。夏の期間にはスタジオジブリの展示会もしていたので鈴木敏夫さんのサインもありました。
レトロな建物に、こたつでまったりしてお休みを過ごしたい方は大沢温泉に行ってみてください。

I visited Morioka over the weekend.
Nanshoso is famous for its deep green and autumn leaves, but now is the season of snow ❄️

Since it was off-season, I spent an hour to take photos of the garden and took my time to take photos of the interior.

The Japanese garden is a snow-fished tree.
I remember my grandmother telling me that it cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to do this.

There are also carp sitting still in the frozen pond.
A nice garden and a house designed so that you can view the garden from anywhere, it’s still wonderful!

週末を利用して盛岡に行ってきました。
南昌荘は深緑と紅葉で有名ですが、今は雪の季節❄️

オフシーズンということもあって1時間かけて、お庭を撮影したり室内をじっくり撮らせていただきました。

日本庭園といえば雪釣りされた木。
これをやるのに、何十万もかかると祖母が言っていたのを思い出しました。

凍った池には鯉もいて、じっとしています。
素敵なお庭と、何処からでも庭を眺められるようにデザインされた家、やっぱり素敵ですね。

Daruma offering ceremony is held every year on January 15,
I bought a small Daruma doll in 2023, and my wish was fulfilled when I made a wish.

1. buy a Daruma doll at Shorinji Temple (any size is fine, just buy one for 1500 yen)
2. write your wish on the Daruma doll's right eyeball with a brush pen
If your wish comes true, write on the left eye with gratitude. 4.
4. go to a temple to offer Daruma dolls
5. buy a new Daruma doll and spend the New Year thinking about your wish coming true.

少林山が毎年行う一番大きいだるま供養の儀式。

1月15日に毎年行われるだるま供養、
私は2023年に小さなだるまを買って願い事師をたら願いが成就したので手順を紹介します。

1. 　少林寺でだるまを購入( サイズはなんでもいい1500円のものを購入)
2. 願い事を思いながらだるまの右目の目玉を筆ペンで書く
3. 願い事が叶ったら左目を感謝の気持ちを思いながら書く
4. だるま供養に寺に行く
5. 新しいダルマを購入して、願いが叶うように新年を過ごす。

Thakaragawa onsen is one of the famous onsens in Gunma, you can select a room from 15,000-30,000yen(130-270USD) in 2022.

Overall I am satisfied with this Ryokan stay in Gunma, I would definitely like to stay here again..

Happy New Year 2024 from Mexico City メキシコのお正月🇲🇽

Last year we spent the countdown in Chiang Mai.
This year I celebrated the New Year in Mexico City.

I am late in posting this because of the time difference, but I had a nice countdown here in Mexico.

The timing of the countdown was off from the fireworks, which is typical of Mexico.

I also spent my days thinking that it is a Latin country, like the couple who started dancing.

Unlike my image of Mexico City, I feel that it is more like Spain and has less of an American flavor.

There are many European buildings and cityscapes.
The center of the city is an office district just like in Japan.

Mexican pesos are expensive.

I thought I would stay in Mexico a little longer, but I will be leaving for Japan tomorrow for work.

I hope you all enjoy the New Year and I wish you a happy new year 2024.

今年はメキシコシティで新年を迎えました。

かなり時差があるので、投稿が遅れましたがいいカウントダウンをここメキシコで迎えました。

カウントダウンの瞬間、花火とタイミングがズレてるところがメキシコらしいし

ダンスを踊りだす、夫婦とかもやっぱりラテンの国だなと思いながら過ごす日々

メキシコシティはイメージと違いどちらかというと、スペインに近くアメリカ色が薄い気がします。

ヨーロッパの建物や街並みが沢山あり
街の中心は日本と変わらないオフィス街

メキシカンペソは高いです。

もう少し長くいようと思ったメキシコですが、仕事のために明日日本に向かうため移動します。

もう、クリスマスも終わりに近づき🎄去年はタイの寺院で瞑想するイブを過ごしましたが今年も普通じゃない場所でクリスマスを過ごす予定なので報告を楽しみにしていてください🙌
